Alongside networks, we also operate company websites: on our own infrastructure in Germany and on the same platform as our own systems. Hosting, DNS management and domain connection sit with one point of contact.
Scope of service
What operation covers.
Suitable if you would rather not manage your website in a self-service hosting package: after a relaunch, when changing provider, or when nobody quite knows where the domain, DNS records and credentials live. We run websites as static sites or lean web applications and take on technical operation, not content.
Operated on our own infrastructure in Germany
Your website runs in its own isolated containers behind a firewall that only exposes approved services. Administrative access to servers and the cluster is exclusively through encrypted VPN connections.
Domain, DNS and HTTPS from one provider
We connect your domain and manage its DNS zone on our own name servers. The Let's Encrypt HTTPS certificate renews automatically; should a certificate approach expiry, monitoring raises a warning in good time.
Monitoring and backups
Availability and certificates are monitored. Your website's source is versioned in Git; platform configuration and DNS zones are additionally backed up in encrypted form to separate storage.
One accountable contact
Questions, incidents and change requests go to one named contact or through the support portal. The proposal states which work operation covers and what is commissioned separately.
The move
Three checked steps.

Review the current setup
Domain and registrar, current provider, email set-up and the website's technology: we establish what moves, what stays and which records must survive the switch.

Deploy in parallel and test
The website first runs on the new environment. Pages, forms, redirects and the certificate are checked before anything changes for your visitors.
- 03
Switch over and operate
After the DNS change we check availability, the certificate and email delivery. From then on we handle ongoing technical operation.
What is not included
Content maintenance — new text, images or pages — is not part of hosting and is agreed separately where needed. We do not run email mailboxes on our servers. High availability across several data centres, round-the-clock on-call cover and guaranteed recovery times are not part of the service; service hours and response targets are set out in the proposal.

Does the domain have to move to you?
Not necessarily. Whether the registration stays with your current provider or moves as well is settled during the initial review. For operation, the domain points to our name servers; existing DNS records, including those for your email, are carried over beforehand.
What happens to our email addresses?
Mailboxes do not run on our servers but with a mail provider such as Microsoft 365 or your current host. We maintain the DNS records for them and check after the move that email is still delivered.
Can you take over our existing website?
We assess that during the initial review. We operate static sites and lean web applications. For an older site builder or CMS, a lean rebuild is often more robust than a like-for-like move; building or reworking the site is then agreed as a separate project.
Where is the data stored?
On servers in data centres in Germany. The platform's operational and error logs are deleted after 30 days. If your website processes personal data, for example through a contact form, we conclude a data processing agreement beforehand.
What does web hosting with Configlane cost?
Hosting with DNS management and domain connection is billed as a monthly flat fee. We state the amount in the proposal after a brief look at your website and the support you need.
