Cisco Meraki / Existing network takeover

Meraki is already there. We structure the handover.

Looking to change providers or hand over internal operations? We assess your existing Meraki network and establish a controlled path to ongoing support. Suitable hardware does not automatically need replacing.

Scope of service

What you receive.

A good fit when responsibilities are unclear, documentation is missing, a support contract is ending or IT is overloaded. The first engagement can be a bounded assessment; subsequent operational takeover is agreed separately on the evidence it produces.

An evidence-based inventory

We review organisations, networks, devices, firmware, licences and visible dependencies. Missing information is recorded and risks prioritised rather than silently accepting an unknown state as the new baseline.

Clear control and access

Together with your authorised contacts, we review organisation control, admin roles and handover options. Contracts and ownership must be resolved; we do not bypass access or device-claim restrictions.

A handover with assigned responsibilities

Your existing provider, internal IT and Configlane work from an agreed sequence. Alert recipients, documentation, open tickets, maintenance status and access changes are recorded with dates and owners.

An informed next engagement

The assessment separates required remediation, optional improvements and regular operations. You can see what can be taken over, what needs resolving first and what the subsequent proposal covers.

The delivery path

Three controlled steps.

  1. 01

    Start with read-only discovery

Review the estate using appropriate access after your approval. Passwords and API keys are not required for the initial enquiry.

  2. 02

    Resolve gaps and handover

Discuss risks, ownership, contractual dependencies and missing records. Obtain separate approval for changes and their impact.

  3. 03

    Transition deliberately

Switch access and alert paths at the agreed point, perform functional checks and document acceptance of the service.

What we agree before starting

Changing operators is not automatically a technical migration. Device and licence transfer options depend on organisation structure, permissions and contracts. Existing access is removed only after an agreed handover; production devices are not moved without assessment.

Good to know

Your questions. Clear answers.

Do we need to buy new Meraki hardware?

Not as a rule. We assess suitability, lifecycle, licence status and the condition of existing equipment. Any replacement is proposed as a separate, justified requirement.

Can you take over if we have no administrator access?

We can help establish the prerequisites and handover path. Changes require authorised access and clear responsibilities. We do not bypass restrictions; the existing operator or Cisco may need to be involved.

Does an assessment commit us to an operations contract?

No. Assessment scope and fees are agreed first. It provides a basis for decisions; remediation, migration and ongoing support can be commissioned separately if needed.

Let’s discuss your requirements

A few details are enough to begin.

You do not need a finished design. We establish the need, boundaries and a dependable next step.

Discuss a Meraki takeover

Helpful for the first conversation

  • Who currently controls the dashboard and operations
  • Sites, approximate device count and known issues
  • Support contract end date and licence deadlines
  • Available documentation, without access credentials initially

Please do not submit passwords, API keys or confidential network plans through the form.
