Hosting
This website runs on our own infrastructure in Germany. No content is loaded from external content delivery networks; fonts and images are served from our own server.
Server log files
When you visit the site, technically necessary data is processed: the page requested, the time, the amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation.
Language selection by country
So that you are served the site in a suitable language, the country of your IP address is determined on your first visit. The lookup happens exclusively on our own server against a locally stored database.
Your IP address is not transmitted to any third party, not logged and not stored. It is evaluated only within the current request and discarded afterwards. If the database is unavailable, the language configured in your browser is used instead.
If you choose a language yourself, that decision is stored in a strictly necessary cookie (configlane.locale) for one year. From then on, no country lookup takes place.
Cookies
We only set the strictly necessary language cookie described above. There is no analytics, no tracking and no sharing with third parties. Under § 25(2) TDDDG this requires no consent.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, we process the details you enter (topic, project information, name, company, email address, optionally a phone number) solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR respectively.
Your enquiry is stored as a case in our self-hosted ticket system on our own infrastructure in Germany. No data is transferred to third-party providers. The data is deleted once it is no longer required and no retention obligations apply.
If you write to us by email instead, the same applies: we process your details to handle the enquiry on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
