Cisco Meraki / Wireless & switching
Meraki wireless built around your working day.
Office video calls, mobile devices on the floor and separate guest access have different requirements. We design your Meraki wireless network together with the underlying LAN and verify it using the applications your business actually needs.
Scope of service
What you receive.
A good fit for new offices and branches, unreliable existing wireless or a planned Wi-Fi refresh. More access points are not automatically the answer: we consider RF conditions, devices, wired connectivity and authentication together.
RF design with explicit assumptions
Floor plans, building materials, user counts and device types drive the design. We agree the planning and measurement scope, clearly distinguishing a prediction, an on-site survey and post-installation validation.
A LAN ready for its access points
Access switches, ports, PoE budget, uplinks and existing cabling are sized appropriately. The wireless standard alone does not determine whether your infrastructure is ready for new access points.
Separated access
Internal devices, guests and specialist endpoints receive agreed access paths. We plan SSIDs, VLANs, firewall boundaries and, where needed, integration with existing RADIUS or Cisco ISE.
Acceptance using real devices
Coverage, capacity, roaming and authentication are checked against agreed usage scenarios. You receive documented results, remaining issues and an operational baseline for future changes.
The delivery path
Three controlled steps.
- 01
Understand how you work
Capture spaces, applications, client capabilities and reported issues. Agree the survey scope and acceptance criteria together.
- 02
Design and deploy
Agree AP positions, RF profiles, LAN and access design. Coordinate mounting and cabling with the responsible on-site teams.
- 03
Validate and hand over
Run agreed checks on the installed network, document any adjustments and hand wireless over to your operations team or managed service.
What we agree before starting
A floor-plan prediction is not an on-site survey. RF behaviour and roaming also depend on the building, clients and applications. Survey work, mounting and cabling are explicitly scoped; we do not offer blanket coverage or throughput guarantees.
Planning template · RF, switching and clients
Wireless acceptance along a real working route.
For voice, scanners or mobile workstations, a speed test next to an access point is insufficient. Agree the test route and representative devices before installation.
Planning inputs
Record floor plans, materials, occupied areas, client models and applications. Review AP positions, total PoE budget and uplinks together; unknown values remain planning questions.
Survey and test route
Walk the working route with representative clients: authentication, roaming, a voice call or scanner transaction. Measurement points and load conditions must be repeatable.
Acceptance package
Hand over the AP plan, survey records, observed roaming interruptions and application results together. One successfully tested client does not prove every device generation.
Good to know
Your questions. Clear answers.
Do we need Wi-Fi 7 already?
That depends on your devices, applications and infrastructure. Use of 6 GHz, power requirements and uplinks are part of the assessment. A new standard is not a reason to replace suitable equipment without review.
Can Meraki wireless run on our existing switches?
That can be a sensible option. We check PoE, ports, VLANs, uplinks and management connectivity. Replacing the entire LAN is not automatically required.
Can you investigate unstable wireless first?
Yes. A bounded assessment can identify likely causes and next steps before a larger deployment is commissioned. Specific times, locations, affected devices and application symptoms are helpful.
Let’s discuss your requirements
A few details are enough to begin.
You do not need a finished design. We establish the need, boundaries and a dependable next step.
